Since the 18th Party Congress, China's renewable energy to achieve leapfrog development, installed capacity has exceeded 1 billion kilowatts mark, accounting for more than 40% of the country's total installed power generation capacity. By 2025, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will increase to about 20%, the proportion of non-fossil energy power generation will reach 39%, and the proportion of electricity in end-use energy will reach about 30%. Currently, according to the National Energy Administration (NEA), as of 2021, the national renewable energy power generation capacity reaches 248 million kilowatt-hours, accounting for 29.8% of the country's total electricity consumption. Among the renewable electricity, 653.6 billion kWh will be generated by wind power and 325.9 billion kWh by solar power.
According to the "China Renewable Energy Development Roadmap 2050" jointly issued by the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission and other organizations, China's installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation will reach 400GW and 1,000GW by 2030 and 2050, respectively. in the industry's view, solar energy will be excessive from the current complementary energy for alternative energy, and gradually become one of the main energy sources of the energy system.
